AJAT PHILIPPINES, INC. (API) fiberglass is lightweight, has moderate tensile strength, and is easy to handle. Fiberglass is used in a wide assortment of projects within the industry.
Polyester, Vinylester and Epoxy Resins
Polyester resin is a thermosetting (cannot be re-formed post cure) used in a wide variety of applications. From figurines to fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP) products, polyester resin is a versatile material.
Vinylester resin is used mainly for corrosive environments and application (e.g. chemical pipes, tanks, baths, trays, grating)
Made of randomly distributed chopped strands held tighter by a emulsion binder. It is compatible with UP, VE, EP resins.
Made by interweaving direct rovings. A high-performance reinforcement widely used in hand lay up and robot processes to manufacture boats, vessels, plane and automotive parts, furniture and sports facilities.
Made from E-glass and are available with well-defined average fiber lengths between 50-210 microns, they are specially designed for reinforcement of thermoset resins, thermoplastic resins and also for painting applications.
It is ready-to-use, high molecular weight, modified orthoterephthalic type of unsaturated polyester. It is highly reactive and fast-curing, suitable for industrial fiberglass-reinforced plastics (FRP) and castings. It is nonwaxed, pre-promoted, thixotropic, low in viscosity, and has medium gelation rate.
It is made for FRP molding / repair, curing agent for polyester resin which is most suitable for wood and iron plate lining. The cured resin laminated to the required thickness becomes a durable plastic that does not rust or rot even like iron or wood.
